Some say that education is the key to environmental restoration, though I say you can't eat a pamphlet. In Jakarta for example, you have to understand the street vendor mentality to grasp the problem. There are no public bins to dispose rubbish, but there are gutters that eventually stream into the sea (someone elses problem). In a place like Jakarta and many other developing cities, survival is the main priority. The environment is the last.
